Dama di

I finally made it to Dama di – the quirky little venue in the center of Bodø, and wow it did not disappoint! The mic opened at 2100 and goes on until midnight. Unfortunately I need to work tomorrow, so I had to leave before that. Had it not been for the artists taking a break I’d probably still be there.

On stage: clarinet, trumpet, organ, guitar, drums, jazz singers, flute – the whole thing! 🎺🎹🥁
The vibe was playful, spontaneous, and at times beautifully chaotic. Musicians came and went, each adding their own flavor.

Like most things, it’s hard to capture the energy of live music on video – what felt electric in the room becomes a little tamer on screen. But trust me: being there in person, surrounded by locals and travelers, with a cold beer in hand, was an experience worth staying awake for. 🍻

Dama di - it is worth the trip to Bodø by itself!
